03/02/12: GA Europe appointed to manage Bonmarché stores

GA Europe, the leading retail restructuring specialist, has been appointed to assist Bonmarché Limited in managing 165 Bonmarché stores. Whilst these stores have already been designated as those likely to be closed following the acquisition of Bonmarché by an affiliate of Sun European Partners LLP, the business continues to evaluate its options and negotiations with landlords are ongoing. GA Europe will now implement a stock clearance programme across the 165 stores to drive sales from this part of the business.

It has previously been announced that 225 stores out of Bonmarché’s total of 390 outlets will continue to trade following the acquisition, and that this will secure the employment of approximately 2400 Bonmarché staff.
